Unit III: WWI
Unit Objectives:
- Students will understand how WWI got started
- Students will connect WWI to its origins in previous units (Imperialism, Industrial Revolution, French Revolution)
- Students will be able to explain the meaning of "total war." (political/economic/practical)
- Students will understand the lives of soldiers in World War I.
- Students will examine changing nature of war by examining elements/arenas of fighting.
- Students will explore how the end of WWI led to national revolutions, totalitarianism, and the beginning of WWII.
